To become more of a lifestyle brand, Taco Bell wanted to introduce a new DTC merchandise business called “Taco Shop”. The challenge was building a completely new division of the business that didn’t previously exist. We had to find a partner that could help us with product design, manufacturing, distribution and fulfillment.
The Taco Bell merchandising and licensing team did an outstanding job in finding the right partners. I worked with them to design and build the eCommerce site which had to integrate with our internal systems to support our B2B businesses. Taco Shop was initially built on a custom system run by our fulfillment partners but later we migrated the site onto Shopify Plus to improve performance and control.
