In addition to user experience, Derrick also oversaw online merchandising, digital content and SEO for the brand.

Taco Bell recently announced a partnership with artificial intelligence company Certona to create a more personalized experience for its 5 million mobile app users. As Director of eCommerce, I led the Certona implementation project and integrated their AI recommendation engine with our mobile app and kiosk. This new partnership caught the attention of Forbes, which lead to the following article which addressed the rising interested in the Quick Service Restaurant industry in applying AI technology to provide a more personalized shopping experience.

I had the honor of representing Taco Bell at the CONNECT The Mobile CX Summit 2018 in Chicago. I was asked to speak about Designing the Best Mobile Ordering Experience and what that means for the QSR industry.
